USA…OBAMA

USA…OBAMA

I have said this before and I do not back down from this statement of mine that we Christians were asleep at the wheel when this man became president.  The one issue that for me made advocating for his not becoming president was his horrific stance on abortion, which has not changed.

This is a man who received the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for no act of peace on his part from the womb to war.  Personally I think we need to stop pouring money into counties like Pakistan.  The American Government needs to stop telling others about human rights, justice, democracy and the like when we are allowing the murdering of the unborn that are not allowed life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  Our service men are fighting coming home in body bags.  Ben Laden was once backed by the USA at one point in time to help against the Russian’s in Afghanistan.  PLEASE…WE LOVE THEM, SUPPORT THEM, TURN AGAINST THEM AND THEN SEND OUR TROOPS TO KILL THEM.

This brings me to the Social Security Checks and the seniors, disabled, the very poor.  Why should this shock anyone it is the other end of the spectrum of life kill the unborn no usefulness, get rid of the seniors, disabled and the poor the burden of the US ENCOMY.  This man has no heart, no conscience and no right to be the president of all the citizens HE IS NOT.

The vote for Obama to become president was because he mesmerized the people with his smooth talking and SLICK words.  This country should have a black president Obama was not him.

Are we going to make the same mistake twice I pray NOT for if we do we need to turn in out voting card.  This country is a mess; the gap between the have and have not is widening and where is the so called middle class.

If we do not remember anything we must remember this we are complicit in the murdering of the Unborn when we do nothing and we are all going to be senior citizens, perhaps disabled and in the group of the very poor if we do not make known our discontent through our vote we are complicit in not defending them and on the road to suffering the same fate.

Many say we must pray and prayer is our weapon but prayer is a super weapon when we get up off our couches roll up our sleeves and do something…Prayer is NOT God answer my prayer take care of it while I watch TV, party down, play video games, text my friends, move with the music from my I Pod and surf the internet aimlessly.

PROVERBS 31: 8-9 Open your mouth in behalf of the dumb, and for the rights of the destitute; Open your mouth, decree what is just, defend the needy and the poor!

MAY THE HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY BLESS…YOU!

ME A SERVANT OF CHRIST MISSION

UPDATE

June 30, 2011

The main stead of mission life is prayer and seeking God’s will for all things and direction.  The answers from Our Lord are not always mapped out in one total picture.  It is pieces of a map given over a period of time with clear answers and assurances one is going in the right direction.   PATIENCE has to be one’s virtue for if not one could easily get frustrated and lose heart.  Although for me patience is a work in progress my faith does not allow for giving up in the interim or during the set backs from one source or another.  I try to look at all obstacles as a test of me from God to see if my endurance and faith stands the test as to be able to be strong to withstand what will come against the mission.  Do I handle tests well…NO not all the time especially when they are prolonged however, a constant communication with Our Lord keeps me going on and He does eventually answers my WHY LORD.

My prayer for the last year was to live in the village rather than the city in my case Chennai.  Chennai was one of those testing place, a place of learning, and a stepping stone in development of the mission.  In a series of events that not sought by me “LITTLE MIRACLES” from Our Lord my prayer to live in a village came true and we now have a home in the village actually surrounded by several villages.  I had to be in the USA on the 29th of May the actual move took place on June 1st.  Before I left I was graciously invited to a home in the one of the villages and was able to actually see first hand the serene beauty of village life.  In the near future many photos will be forth coming.

The hope for the mission as I constantly seek the will of God is to teach the village children who are not able to go to school because they are needed at home to help their families the basics in writing, math, and reading; this ideally one of my goals inspired from Our Lord always looking to Him to fine tune it and bring it to the place of HIS will.   This would happen when it is best time for the families to let them come.  To help achieve this, is to work closely with the local village Catholic Churches especially St. Anthony’s which is now my new parish.   Our Lord has this surprising way of presenting His will in the most extraordinary way with miracles results, these for me are precious gifts of His.

Pray for me and the mission it is not what I can do but what Glory is given to God in what the entire mission does.  It is my mission to reflect in all I do Our Lord.  I as a human will fail but strengthen by your prayers I will do the best job I can.

I never want ME A SERVANT OF CHRIST MISSION to be a non entity that was nothing but vainglory thoughts of an old lady.  The purpose is to be an instrument to the will of God.

I entrust the mission to Our Lord everyday, through the heart of Mama’s prayers.

MAY THE HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY BLESS …YOU!

MERIDIAN HEALTH…4 EAST OCEAN MEDICAL CENTER, BRICK, NJ

MERIDIAN HEALTH…4 EAST

 OCEAN MEDICAL CENTER, BRICK, NJ

About one week ago I went to the Emergency Room at Meridian Health and was admitted.  The purpose of the Blog is not about me I am home and doing well; this is about the hospital staff on 4 East who cared for me during my stay.  Everyone of the team on 4 East were very kind, up beat and efficient in all that they did for me to make my hospital stay comfortable and as stress free as possible when one finds themselves in a hospital.  Each staff member took a personal interest in my care with bright smiling faces, reassuring words and sense of humor to chase any blues away.  They say laughter heals and it does but it also lightens the heart in difficult situations as it did for me.

The exchange and interaction of the staff as they work with joyful hearts lets me know God called them to their professions and they are in His will.

Hebrews 13:16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

This sums up beautifully the commitment and dedication the staff at 4 East.  Each one of you with your unique personalities and areas of expertise made my stay a good experience as well as a healing one.  BRAVO MY DEAR HEARTS I am truly blessed for having your hearts touch mine in a profound way…

God Bless you all!

PRAYER FOR THE SOULS IN PURGATORY

Filed under: Pray for Special Intentions, My Favorite Prayers, Holy Mother of God — measervantofchristmission.com @ 11:38 pm

OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL

There are more souls released from Purgatory during the Consecration of the Mass than at any other time. Christmas is the day of the year when most souls are delivered; followed by feast days of Our Lord, Our Lady, and great saints. Souls receive much grace from prayers offered for them on their birthdays, day of baptism, and anniversary of death. The more we work for the poor souls now the more others will pray for us, the more merciful will Christ be with us when we’re in Purgatory.

Our Lady asked that we pray very much for the poor souls; she asked that we pray:

5 Apostle’s Creed
1 Hail Holy Queen
1 Our Father
1 Glory Be
1 Requiem

Our Lady said that if we pray the prayers “we’ll deliver so many souls, so many souls. The Holy wounds are the treasure of treasurers for the souls in Purgatory.” As Scripture states, “It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead that they may be loosed from their sins” (2 Mac 12:46)

Requiem

Eternal Rest grant to then, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them and may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

May the Lord bless us, may he keep us from evil and bring us to life everlasting. Amen.

PRAYER FOR DAILY NEGLECTS

Filed under: My Favorite Prayers — measervantofchristmission.com @ 11:21 pm

Poor Clare Nun

Eternal Father, I offer thee the Scared Heart of Jesus, with all its love, all its suffering and all its merits.

FIRST:  To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life.  Glory be to the Father and to the Son…

SECOND:  To purify the good I have done badly this day and during all my life. Glory be to the Father and to the Son…

THIRD:  To supply for the good I ought to have done, and that I have neglected this day, and during all my life.  Glory be to…

A Poor Clare Nun who had just died, appeared to her abbess, who was praying for her and said to her, “I went straight to heaven, for, by means of this prayer, every evening, I paid my debts.”

This picture of Our Lady was drawn by a mystic in Italy.  Her hand was guided by Our Lady.

There is a special blessing given each day to the person who carries it and another blessing given each time one looks at it in love.

INDIA…ANTHONY MILTON

MILTON

Anthony Milton is an 18 year old entrepreneur who comes from a village in Southern India whose business is in Chennai.  Anthony is a collector of newspapers, plastic bottles and various other recyclable items.   He works in concert with another person from his village that has a fresh vegetable stall (store).  Whenever our newspapers and plastic bottles pile up we ask Anthony to come and take our recyclables.

Anthony arrives on his bike, which has a large metal sided box attached to the front of his bike which holds a substantial amount of recyclables.  He arranges the papers neatly so that he can weight them properly on his hand held scale and according to the weight we are given a small amount of rupees for them.

Anthony then takes them to the stall where a recycling business buys them from him.  The money Anthony gets helps towards his families expenses.

MY COMMENTARY

Village life in India is family oriented, where several generations live together in one house and work as a single unit for the survival of each of its members.  Every member contributes to the families well being including the children.  There is this movement of togetherness within the family in all aspects physically, spiritually, and emotionally.  The struggle of the family for the most part comes not from within but from outside obstacles and forces.

Villagers have a pride, mutual respect and regard for the dignity of its people as a family and community.  Many may look at this lifestyle as a step back into time however, for me it permeates fresh sweet smelling fragrance that can only keep the heart and soul at peace, happy, and harmonically in union with God.

THERE IS A LOT TO BE SAID FOR LIVING THE SIMPLE LIFE!

INDIA…Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School…Students

Linda Mary

measervantofchristmission.com

On Valentines Day we decided to spend the day at the bird sanctuary.   The day was beautiful and I having been sick needed to get out in the fresh air and this tranquil setting was the perfect spot.  Normally on the weekday the sanctuary is very quiet, few visitors but this Monday the students from Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School were on their class trip.  The joyful sounds of the students of various ages added to the beauty of the day.  Their presence added a welcome depth and dimension to just watching birds.

Some of the younger students were given assignments as I observed them diligently copying to their notebooks the information from the signs scattered throughout the sanctuary about the various birds.  To each of these little ones it was clearly a serious undertaking.

The older students’ teens were in the universal actions of a teen.  The girls sitting together giggling and the boys well being boys brought back memories of days gone by.  As I observed these students I could not help but smile thinking no matter the age, culture, and country children have an inherent sense of oneness in their persona and actions.

As I sat there on the bench some students would greet me with me returning a greeting however, one girl came up to me and addressing me as Auntie ask me where I was from, my name and the length of my stay in India.  After I ask about her name and answered the questions she scurried off to her friends after saying thank you.  It was not a few seconds later a group of boys came in front of me no acknowledgment was made for they were experimenting using a magnifying glass, the sun rays passing through the glass, to a leaf thus creating a burnt spot on the leaf. The boys continued their walk down the path after the experiment.

The young lady who had asked me questions earlier comes back with a few of her friends and they began asking questions thus causing a curiosity bringing more students into the group.  The questions asked revolved around the USA but most of the questions were about what I though of India.  The questions were thought provoking and they were asked with a genuine interest.  I was introduced to three of the teachers.

I felt that this time with these well behaved, polite, and articulate students would be soon coming to an end I had some pictures taken of us all.  I exchanged email addresses with Rachen who is now a friend of mine on Facebook.  He is assigned the job to make sure the pictures taken are seen by everyone.  The memories of this all to short time with these students will last me a lifetime.

MY COMMENTARY

We live in a throw-a-way society and the two spectrums are children and the elderly however, for the sake of this Blog I address the plight children.  Society is in a continuing downward spiral of the rejection of children beginning in the womb.  Children the future of this planet is to often rejected and are seen by society as an albatross around its neck.  All societies throughout the world are guilty of this in one degree or another.  We see the rejection beginning at conception in the aborting of the unborn for a reason such as it is a mistake, it is not life, the fetus is the wrong gender, the fetus has a birth defect and the list goes on.  Children are rejected because of having a disease such as Aides, burden to families, sold into servitude, abused, and the like.  All too often children are not seen as a gift from God to us all.  Society leaves its children unprotected an often time rejects helping the underprivileged child.  This society I speak of is YOU/ME whatever your culture, whatever the country this is a universal problem/a universal contagious disease of society.  Until society loves, respects, nurtures and takes care of its children society will never know peace and harmony for peace and harmony cannot and will not survive where death/abuse/rejection abides towards its children.  Until we understand this society is on the slippery slope of destruction.

HUGS TO YOU ALL, ALWAYS IN MY HEART…LINDA MARY

USA…GOING BACK TO INDIA

Entrusting My Words to the Holy Spirit Through the Heart of Mama’s Prayers

I am returning to India this Sunday December 5th and I cannot wait.  This stay in the USA was a mixed bag of highs and lows coupled with uncertainty and stress.  It is in the roller coaster of emotions that Our Lord decided to have me go through a conversion in some areas of me that needed to be addressed.  It is a time of conversation with Our Lord mixed with me trying to justify or bargain some issues I just wanted to remain the same.  I do not know why I even have these discussions because in the end I will see it His way and do what I have to do to keep myself lined up in the Word of God.  I equate this tug and pull with the children of Israel who when things were going their way all were happy as soon as they were ask to make changes then came the grumbling the tug and pull.  Being human is tough and being human and doing everything right is the tug and pull.  I have found the closer I get to God I am totally aware of being off track because the tug and pull of Our Lord is easily felt.

I have learned that once I adhere to Our Lord that peace comes to my heart and that the communication between us is no longer hampered by the tug and pull.  It opens the heart and soul to possibilities and I can see that my desires of my heart are possible.  Although Our Lord does not abandon me when I am off track I find myself in uncertainty and the hopes and dreams out of reach.  It is when I am lined up with  His Word the chains and shackles are gone it makes the realization of the hearts desire will be possible.  I think I monkey wrench many of the blessings God wants to give me because of not being able to get out of the way.  I can be my own worse enemy.

I am back on the right road, the narrow road leading to the narrow gate, which will take me home to Him.  I hope the next time and there will be many I am sure when I am called in for a discussion about where I am going with Our Lord I remember these past two months and not have a debate about it just make the correction in my life.

I have many blessings which daily I am thankful for and I am thankful for the thorn in my side for these last two months is out. I return to India a better Christian, hopefully a little wiser and certainly renewed both within my heart and soul for Our Lord smiles on me.

MAY THE HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY BLESS YOU!
