A SUMMARY OF CATHOLIC DOCTRINE
We as Catholics fail at being able to articulate our Catholic Faith when we are asked what our belief is. I have found this summary in the Roman Catholic Daily Missal 1962. It is published by the Angelus Press,

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOD
- I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt not have strange Gods before Me.
- Thou Shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
- Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day.
- Honor thy father and thy mother.
- Thou shall not kill.
- Thou shall not commit adultery
- Thou shall not steal.
- Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
- Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife.
- Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s house.
THE SIX PRECEPTS OF THE CHURCH

Among the truths, which faith teaches us…the existence of one God; the Mystery of the Redemption of mankind by the Incarnation and death of Jesus Christ, and the future state of reward and punishment.

It is a mortal sin for a Catholic to be ignorant of these things, “IF” it be through his won willfulness “OR” neglect.
If you just read this you have a computer anything you need a deeper understanding of can be searched on the web. Example: Catholic Teaching on the Holy Eucharist etc, etc . Also I recommend the each household should have a Catholic Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Go to Links and several places are noted to buy new and used Catholic Books.
