MERRY CHRISTMAS
Blessed Infant Jesus it is a clique to say you are the reason for the season but what happens to us several days after your birthday. We revert back to who we really are. It is for a short moment in time our hearts reach out to those in need. It is in this short moment in time we smile at strangers. It is in a short moment of time we allow our hearts to be like unto thine.
We are sorry Blessed Infant Jesus for not taking the spirit of this season into the many years of our lives. However, this year Blessed Infant Jesus we are going to take something from the spirit of Christmas into this coming year spreading the joy of Christmas at least in some part of our daily lives. Prayerfully, as we make this conscious effort it will become a part of our hearts done in second nature.
Therefore, Blessed Infant Jesus our birthday gift to you is year long continuing to allow our hearts to be like unto thine. We entrust this to the prayers of Your Mother and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen
You are loved by us.

The Heart
Linda Mary Liotino
The heart needs two things to heal the soul of man it is love and forgiveness. The heart divorced from love and forgiveness places the journey of the soul in harms way.
Lets us think about what destructions come to the soul of man whose heart is divorced of love and forgiveness:
· The heart is ever restless, knows no peace, and lacks patience.
· The heart cannot be kind, good, or gentle.
· The heart knows no self-control.
· The heart is sad for it has no joy.
The heart rests not easy in its beats and merely lives because of God’s mercy. In the heart’s, state of being divorce of love and forgiveness the soul starves. It is in this starvation the heart of man moves in darkness.
In the darkness, evil lurks to bring the heart and soul to death. Evil licks its lips at the prospects of claiming yet another soul whose heart is divorced of love and forgiveness. It happily relishes the destruction of the man whose heart and soul is in this state.
The heart, which is full of love and knows forgiveness, breathes life in the soul of man. It is here we find life because:
· The heart is at peace and patient.
· The heart has a genuine kindness, goodness and gentleness.
· The heart understands self-control.
· The heart beats in pure joy.
How does the heart connect to the love and forgiveness by seeking the mercy of God. It is in God’s forgiveness the soul is set free. Man finds himself free.
Evil in its anger flees knowing that the heart has love and forgiveness bringing healing and health to the soul of man.
The heart always knows love and forgiveness from:
It is approaching the heart and soul of another we should seek to infuse this heart and soul with love and forgiveness. As we seek from the throne of God the restoration of our own hearts His love and forgiveness, we should be equally ready to give what we ourselves received from God this same love and forgiveness.
Jesus came here to earth to teach, heal and give us the gift of salvation. Psalm 40:2 I waited, I waited for the Lord and He stooped down to me; he heard my cry.
Lord make my heart like unto thine rooting out all that keeps my heart from being like yours. Amen

ST. JOHN OF THE CROSS, PRIEST AND DOCTOR
Memorial
THE DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL
by
On a dark night,
Kindled in love with yearnings–oh, happy chance!–
I went forth without being observed,
My house being now at rest.
In darkness and secure,
By the secret ladder, disguised–oh, happy chance!–
In darkness and in concealment,
My house being now at rest.
In the happy night,
In secret, when none saw me,
Nor I beheld aught,
Without light or guide, save that which burned in my
heart.
This light guided me
More surely than the light of noonday
To the place where he (well I knew who!) was awaiting me–
A place where none appeared.
Oh, night that guided me,
Oh, night more lovely than the dawn,
Oh, night that joined Beloved with lover,
Lover transformed in the Beloved!
Upon my flowery breast,
Kept wholly for himself alone,
There he stayed sleeping, and I caressed him,
And the fanning of the cedars made a breeze.
The breeze blew from the turret
As I parted his locks;
With his gentle hand he wounded my neck
And caused all my senses to be suspended.
I remained, lost in oblivion;
My face I reclined on the Beloved.
All ceased and I abandoned myself,
Leaving my cares forgotten among the lilies.

Patroness of the Americas
In December of 1531, Our Lady appeared to an Aztec farmer named Juan Diego near a native Aztec shrine in Tepeyac, near present-day Mexico City. She told Juan to go to the bishop and ask that a church be built in that place. When the bishop demanded a sign, Mary instructed Juan to take with him the roses that were blooming there, even though it was December. Returning to the bishop’s house, Juan removed his coarse cloak and found that the image of Our Lady was emblazoned on it.
The cloak with its image is still viewed today inside the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe by pilgrims from around the world. Our Lady of Guadalupe was declared the “Patroness of the Americas” by Pope Pius XII in 1954, and again recently by Pope John Paul II. She is widely revered throughout our hemisphere and receives special affection from Native Americans and Hispanic communities. The feast is celebrated on December 12.

Honoring Mama on this day in love, devotion, and with great respect. Mama you are my heart and always loved by me your daughter.

Holy Day of Obligation
As I reflect in the first week of Advent, I am in the cultivating of the soil of my heart and soul. I always pray for graces that will make me a better child of Papa God. Seeking temporal things are at the discretionary will of Papa but spiritual things are always in the will of Papa. He wants His children to have all they need to live this life here and to come home to Him when this journey ends. Like any other parent, He teaches and gives His children all the tools, (graces) and the guidance to see to the return of them home to Him. To ensure the door to home is easily accessible He sent His son to take the sting of death away a venue of His Children’s salvation. In all, that Papa’s Son did and said is recorded as to be our road map to home. Papa wants more than anything else for all His children to come home.
Now coming back to the cultivating of the soil of my heart and soul I have found when praying for graces it seems to be in vain. I understand Papa wants to shower me with all His graces but they are not always operational in my life. I know the graces are deposited and yet lie dormant. Through Papa’s guidance, I have started to understand the soils of my heart and soul need fertilizing and the rooting out those things that choke the grace from taking root. However, this knowledge presented me with yet another dilemma what is causing the choking? It is here I seek Papa for the knowledge. It is not always within me to have total truth of who I am. Therefore, I have left the problem to Papa’s heart understanding in His gentleness and love for His daughter the sin and junk within me He will root out as I pray this prayer:
Lord, may this grace, your word and all that is spiritual pierce my heart and soul. May the seeds of this grace take root and produce good fruits. Lord whatever it is within me that prevents this seed of grace from taking root, root that out of my heart and soul. Amen
May the Hearts of Jesus and Mama bless the hearts of all that read this.
